Kenneth Gram: Swiss Lotto Scam

On January 15, 2012, in Lottery, by EIS

This promotion takes place annually. For security reasons, you are advised to keep your winning details confidential till your claims is processed and your Winning funds remitted to you in whatever manner you deem fit to Claim your prize.

Oddly enough, I went to the Swiss Lotto website and can’t read it as I speak neither German, Italian or French.  With that in mind, I am offering my opinion on why this is a scam lottery email similar to those using the National Lottery UK name in their scam emails.

This scam lottery email bites the dust with a check of the email addresses. The FROM email address is forged –

post@swisslotto.ch

The REPLY email address is what we are really concerned about

kennethgram@ymail.com

If we want to actually communicate with someone about our winnings, then we are to use this email address –

accessbradley@ymail.com

Seriously — is the Swiss Lotto going to use private individuals with FREE and PUBLIC email address to pass out lottery winnings?  Not to mention lottery winnings that you didn’t buy/enter in to begin with? And how about the keeping your winnings private and confidential? Wouldn’t a legitimate lottery organization value the publicity of winners talking?

I didn’t think so either …
