We’re familiar with Dr. Norman Lopes and his “loans”, having seen his name previously attached to offers from a company called “Home First Mortgage” where he was offering pre-approved loans on existing mortgages.

The writer of this email appears to have taken the name of a real institution in Ohio, First Liberty Financial Mortgage Company and turned it into Liberty First Financial Firm. This is common in many of these scam emails. Many recipients will not notice the subtle switching around of the first and second names of the company in the email.

Just to be sure of my reasoning, I went to the First Liberty Financial Mortgage Company website and did a search for “Norman Lopes”. As I expected, there were no results for the search.

This email has the usual scam email issues with email addresses.  It comes from

MAKE IT HAPPEN DETAILS SHOP INC <jaroslaw.wrosz@otop.org.pl>

And it goes back to a FREE and PUBLIC Gmail address
